I have taken the  picture below with my DSLR camera posted outside the Microbiology Dept.  in Doctor Cassey’s office, City University of New York. I was so proud that Doctor Cassey have given me such honor and respect.

Website created by “Muhammad A Mughnee  (Ifzal)” MLS ASCP Pharmacy CPhT”

 Thanks for visiting my site to all the students, MLS, MLTS, Phlebotomists, professors, directors.

This site is mainly created for Medical Technologists, Medical Lab Technicians, Medical Laboratory Scientists, Cytologists and  Bacteriologists  and the Interns or Students preparing for American Society Of Clinical Pathologists(ASCP) Exam.
However Nursing students or Physician Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician might benefit from the notes in Hematology, Blood Coagulation or Micro Biology Section.
Please Read the Strategy section so you can get an idea how to start preparing for the State Board or Certification Exam.

I have created this site mainly because of the hardship I went through to prepare for ASCP. I graduated in June 2012 and started working at Mt Sinai Queens Hospital Center in NYC. After one year my temporary license issued by NY state dept of education was expiring and I had to sit for ASCP in order to get Permanent NY State Clinical Lab Science License.But as I sat to prepare I found out that I forgot most of the stuffs and things did not look easy for me. After 1 month of studying I sat for ASCP and The Test was not easy. Its extensive and focuses on all department. Since my preparation was not Upto par, I did not make it. I scheduled for another exam  2 month later and this time I made sure I study thoroughly. I started going to library and study everyday from 8 am till 5 pm for almost 2 month. It feels like hell studying all alone by yourself and going though everything which you have studied in your 4 years curriculum at College plus it was Fasting month for me meaning I had to fast everyday from 5 am till 9 pm evening . It was very Hot summer in NYC during July 2013 and I used to walk 1 and half mile to the library. Keeping in mind all this hardships,  I promised  my self that if I pass this time I will dedicate myself in making  a website which will benefit students and employees from around the world to help them make it easy to prepare for ASCP. August 15 2013, I sat for 2nd try and after I completed my Test the monitor gave me a message that said “You Passed”. I could not believe my eyes and to make sure I am not seeing the wrong message I called the examiner and asked him to verify. He told me that I made it and go home and party. I thank God that 3 months of painful experience was over.

I feel honored to see that my notes has helped many in getting their Certification.From Sept 2013 till now 199,138 viwers from USA, 37,007 from Philippines, 9,087 from Kingdom of Saudia Arabia , 5,197 from Canada and 138 countries across the globe have viwed and utilized this site for their preparation.

Folks I know its not easy to work, take care of your kids , pay your bills . Life is very stressful but hang in there, you will reach your destination sooner or later.If you believe in yourself you will achieve it. I read a poem in 10th grade by British poet Emily Bronte .

The Poem goes like
“Far away is the land of rest’
Thousand miles are stretched between,
Many a mountain’s stormy crest,
Many a desert void of green.

Wasted, worn is the traveller;
Dark his heart and dim his eye;
Without hope or comforter,
Faltering, faint,and ready to die.

Often he looks to the ruthless sky,
Often he looks o’er his dreary road,
Often he wishes down to lie
And render up life’s tiresome load.

But yet faintnot, mournful man;
Leagues on leagues are left behind
Since your sunless course began;
Then go on to toil resigned.

If youstill despair control,
Hush its whispers in your breast,
You shall reach the final goal,
You shall win the land of rest.”

Our minds work a lot like a computer. The way we program it will determine how it’s going to function. You can have the most expensive, powerful computer you can find, but if you load the wrong software, it’s not going to perform at its best. In the same way, many people are not living a victorious life, not because there is something wrong with them, but because of what has been programmed in their thinking. They start believing the lies, “I’m not talented. I don’t have a good personality. I’ve made too many mistakes. I’ve reached my limits.” Just like a virus can slow down a perfectly good computer, our wrong thinking can keep us from our destiny. If you’re going to live in victory, you’ve got to know how to hit the delete button.When that thought comes that says, “You’re just average. You’re ordinary.” Hit delete and say, “I’m a masterpiece. I’m one of a kind.” When you hear, “You’ve seen your best days. It’s all downhill from here.” Hit delete and say, “My future will be brighter than my past.” If you will start hitting the delete button on those negative thoughts, your life will go to a new level, and you’ll experience the blessing God has in store for you!

A lot of people will try to put you down.Stones of judgment, discouragement or doubt may be thrown at you. You can’t stop them, but you can make the choice to keep your walls up and not let them affect you.Every day we have plenty of opportunities to get angry, stressed or offended. But what you’re doing when you indulge these negative emotions is giving something outside yourself power over your happiness. You can choose to not let little things upset you.When you go through enough dark places, you don’t complain about little things. You don’t lose your joy because you got stuck in traffic; you don’t get offended because a coworker was rude to you. You’ve been through too much to let that sour you.There is a winner in you. You were created to be successful, to accomplish your goals, to leave your mark on this generation. You have greatness in you. The key is to get it out.When some one is rude to you, keep a smile in your face. When you stay on the high road and keep your joy, you take away their power.

There is never any short cuts to success, but hard work complimented with the desire to achieve, determination, and always being motivated to get after your goal, it makes success becomes bigger. Hard work only works as hard as you do, and the level of success reached will only be as high as an individuals work level.The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.

Encouragement to others is something everyone can give. Somebody needs what you have to give. It may not be your money; it may be your time. It may be your listening ear. It may be your arms to encourage. It may be your smile to uplift. Who knows?”-Joel Osteen.
